Kadapara Falls also known as Alingal Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Palakkad district. It is enough to visit this place during the rainy season.
A hidden spot once known only to locals, its popularity skyrocketed as outsiders discovered it. Initially, entry involved a 5 km forest trek, but now visitors flock to this natural wonder. Adventurous people can even take a refreshing dip under the falls, but caution is advised due to the slippery rocks.
The attraction of Kadapara Falls is the surrounding forest. Notably, the area has been designated as a plastic-free zone, emphasizing the need for responsible waste disposal.
Located around 55 km from Thrissur and Palakkad cities, one has to cross Mangalam Dam via Vadakancherry and Mangalam Bridge to reach the falls. The Ponkandam-Kadapara road leads to the waterfall, which is 7 km from Mangalam Dam. Although a short off-road stretch leads to the falls, vehicles can access the edge, ensuring an unforgettable visit to this natural wonder.
