Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, is located in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It is the second-largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala and is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The sanctuary, established in 1973, covers an area of about 344.44 square kilometers and is contiguous with the protected areas of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka to the northeast and Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu to the southeast.The second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala, Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary offers a fascinating wildlife experience. Situated on the road from Sultan Bathery to Mysore, it shares the border with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and the point where these three states meet is called the Triangle Point.
