Punnayar Falls in Kanjikuzhi, Idukki is a natural attraction that many travelers are unaware of even today. This waterfall presents another beautiful facet of Idukki, especially during the rainy season, the Punnayar falls, which are in full bloom, rival the Athirappilli falls in beauty.As there are rocks and strong water currents, you have to be careful when going down to the falls. Take a left from Kanjikuzhi or Vatovanpara Junction on the Alappuzha-Madura State Highway and travel about two kilometers to reach Punnayar Falls. From there, a one kilometer off-road trek including half a kilometer footpath takes you to the falls.October to December is the best time for tourists to visit Punnayar Falls. Entry to the falls is free, but vehicles must park safely on the roadside as there is no designated parking area. Venmani – Kanjikuzhi – Vatto Vanpara Junction – Punnayar Falls.
